Luminox Audio has today unveiled support for Nippon DICS‘s latest earphone connectors, the Pentaconn Ear. Pentaconn Ear is a newly designed set of plug and jack for earphones by Nippon DICS. The new connectors seek to improve insertion-removal durability via its use of material and structure design.

“Since last year, we have received requests from our customers, mainly from Japan, for Pentaconn Ear. We have since been working with Nippon DICS on the integration of the plug for Pentaconn Ear onto our range of upgrade cables,” said Steve Chang, Business Development Manager with Luminox Audio.

Luminox Audio was certified as a Recognized Applicator for Nippon DICS Pentaconn Ear by Nippon DICS Co., Ltd, on the 13th of July 2020 after its facilities are accredited in line with the specifications from the Japanese maker using Original Pentaconn Ear Components supplied by Nippon DICS Co., Ltd.

“Efforts of our Research & Development work mainly revolves around the design of the housing and IP67 waterproof gasket for the plug while adhering to the specifications provided by Nippon DICS,” explains Steve. “We are delighted to announce the availability of Pentaconn Ear on all our existing selection of audio upgrade cables immediately.”

The Pentaconn Ear connectors are currently adopted by leading personal audio manufacturers, which include Acoustune, Sennheiser, and SPEAR Labs.
