It has been less than six months since Sennheiser announced the Momentum True Wireless 2; the company is back with a new offering: the Sennheiser CX 400BT True Wireless. Centred around its ‘sound first’ ethos, the company seeks to deliver the same acoustic performance with the implementation of the 7 mm Dynamic Drivers, which was introduced on the Momentum True Wireless 2.

Created for fast-paced, always-on lifestyles, the CX 400BT True Wireless allows one to tailor the experience via the Sennheiser Smart Control app. The app offers acoustic customisability via the built-in equaliser as well as enables one to define their preferred way of controlling audio, calls, or accessing voice assistants such as Google Assistant or Siri via its customisable touch controls. The earbuds also feature ambient noise reduction microphones to ensure voice interactions are natural-sounding and crystal clear when making phone calls or interacting with voice assistants.

Battery wise, one would get up to seven hours of playback on a single charge and up to 20 hours in total when charging on-the-go with the supplied case. The CX 400BT True Wireless is Bluetooth 5.1 compatible and supports Bluetooth codecs AAC, aptX, and SBC.

In summary, the CX 400BT has adopted many of the same outstanding features of the Momentum True Wireless 2. These include 7 mm dynamic drivers with a built-in equalizer, an ergonomic design, customisable touch controls, calls, and voice assistant access, Bluetooth 5.1 as well as support for Bluetooth codecs AAC, aptX, and SBC.

Available in black or white, Sennheiser’s latest True Wireless is scheduled to be released globally on 15 September 2020 at an SRP of EUR 199 / GBP 169 / SGD 299 / USD 199.95.

In Singapore, the CX 400BT True Wireless will be available at the Sennheiser Brand Stores at Marina Bay Sands and Marina Square, Online Store, and at all authorised Sennheiser retailers.
